Areas of Work
- Person-Centred
- Psychodynamic
- Existentialism
The person-centred approach is a non-directive talking therapy where you are at the centre of our work together. I will explore with you your thoughts and feelings in the here and now, helping you to make sense of any confusion you may be experiencing in the present moment. I tailor my work to your needs so that you can talk about your concerns at your pace and when you feel you are ready to explore them.
The psychodynamic approach is more in-depth and explores how your childhood experiences influence and impact on the present. You will be able to have a better understanding of how these might be having an effect on your day to day life, this may be your attachment style or the way in which you relate to others on a personal level.
Existentialism is about uncovering the meaning of your life and self through free will, choice and awareness. We will explore what your thoughts and feelings mean to you rather than why you are experiencing them. The focus is to help you think things through and develop new ideas and perspectives that enable you to consider your options and lead a fulfilling life.
